The video comes with the corresponding text (the recipe and list of ingredients), so you never need to worry about getting lost!

How can I make the most of the videos?

In order to retain information and to progress in the long term, Châteaux des langues has created a very efficient technique using the 4 senses: the Copier/Coller ©.

The technique has just four simple steps:

1st STEP:

Listen

2nd STEP:

Listen + read (with subtitles)

3rd STEP:

Listen + subtitles + read out loud

4th STEP:

No sound + subtitles + read out loud

In order to retain new vocabulary and grammar rules in the most efficient way, we recommend that you follow this technique, developed by Châteaux des langues and used in its language immersions. To go even further, do not hesitate to copy the text of the recipe instead of downloading it; writing is an even more thorough way of learning.

You can choose between 3 rates of speed according to your needs.

Do not hesitate to start with the slowest version and then watch the normal or fast version of the video a few weeks later. Repetition is the key to success… and cooking a tasty recipe is also a good excuse to repeat the videos!

In case of any doubt, you can use the online translator located on the recipe page.

(But we won’t give you the translations; it is by looking for the words yourself that you remember them afterwards). The action of typing the word allows you to learn it. If you find that you’ve forgotten it five minutes later, write it in the dictionary again.
